138. Nasruddin Divides the Walnuts
“Help us!” the boys said to Nasruddin. “We have this bag of walnuts but we don’t know how to divide them.”
“Do you want to divide them God’s way, or the human way?”
“God’s way!” shouted the boys.
So Nasruddin gave two handfuls to one boy, a handful to another, a few walnuts to the third, and none to the fourth.
The boys looked at him in confusion.
“All things come from God, not just walnuts,” Nasruddin explained. “Life itself is a gift from God! As for walnuts: he gives more to some, less to others, and some get none.”

The A/C service and roof coating went well on Tuesday and Wednesday. The cost was more than I wanted to pay but was slightly less than I had thought it would be. There are a few other things that I need to get fixed in Desperado but they can keep until October when I’m going to see if the RV shop in Deming can do them. That shop will be a little closer than this one in Elephant Butte but when I stopped there last year he said that he could not help me with the water tank leak. I’ll see if he can help with the other things I now have to be fixed.
I think I have now established a walking routine and distances here but know that I’m going to get very bored with doing the same every day.
