How many environmentalists does it take to change a lightbulb?”
Ten.
One to write the lightbulb a letter requesting that it change.
Four to circulate online petitions.
One to file a lawsuit demanding it change.
One to send the lightbulb lovingkindness™, knowing that this is the only way real change occurs.
One to accept the lightbulb precisely the way it is, clear in the knowledge that to not accept another is to do great harm to oneself.
One to write a book about how and why the lightbulb needs to change.
And finally, one to smash the lightbulb, because we all know it’s never going to change.

[W]e are in Deja Vu land with respect to the current war with Iran. Despite Trump’s campaign promise to not start a new war in the Middle East he has done exactly that. Only one little problem… He can’t win it and, even if he declares victory and tries to bring the air force squadrons and carrier strike groups back home, Iran is not going to cooperate.…
Trump will face the dilemma of accepting Iran’s terms (a humiliating outcome) or continuing a war of attrition while the while Iran launches at least three waves of missiles every day. The pressure on Trump will be enormous as long as Iran maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz… US allies, particularly in Asia, will be pleading to an end of the war, and the domestic economic picture will worsen. Trump is trapped and does not appear to have a politically viable exit ramp. — Trumo Is Trapped But Doesn’t Know It by Larry C Johnson
President Donald Trump announced Friday [14 Mar ’26] that the United States carried out what he described as “one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East,” declaring that U.S. forces “totally obliterated every MILITARY target” on Iran’s strategic Kharg Island — the regime’s so-called “crown jewel” and primary oil export hub…
President Donald Trump said Saturday [15 Mar ’26]that Iran wants to end the conflict but that he is refusing to make a deal because “the terms aren’t good enough yet,” while signaling the United States could strike Kharg Island again.
The man can’t remember what he has said from one day to the next. Why threaten to strike Kharg Island again if every MILITARY target was obliterated during the Friday attack?

A Parable
A Christian is walking down a road in India. Suddenly a throng of people comes running the opposite direction. When they get close enough, he hears them cry that an elephant has gone crazy (or maybe sane, depending on your perspective), and is trampling people up ahead. The Christian says, “I am not worried. God will take care of me.”
He keeps walking.
Another crowd rushes by delivering the same message. He responds, “I am not worried. God will take care of me.”
He keeps walking.
Yet another crowd. Same message. Same response: “I am not worried. God will take care of me.”
He keeps walking.
He sees the elephant.
He’s a little worried.
But God will take care of him.
The elephant sees him. The elephant rushes him. The elephant stomps him flat.
As he is dying, he turns against God, curses, and moans, “God, why didn’t you take care of me?”
Then he hears the voice of God, clear and strong, “You idiot! Why do you think I sent all those people to warn you?”
