124. Nasruddin’s Two Hands

Nasruddin was delighted to receive a dinner invitation from his friend.

He arrived early, and hungry, eager to try every single dish.

As the food was served, Nasruddin reached with both hands, grabbing for the meat and the bread, anything and everything he could reach, hurriedly stuffing the food into his mouth.

Finally one of the other dinner guests shouted, “Nasruddin! Your behavior is simply outrageous! Why are you grabbing at all the food and stuffing it into your mouth with your two hands like that?”

“Why?” repeated Nasruddin, his mouth full. “Because these two hands are all I’ve got!”

I went to Sierra Vista yesterday with H&R Block as my primary reason for going. I need to make an estimated payment to the IRS because of the long term gain on the stock that I sold. I had a good conversation with a preparer that gave the forms but recommended just sending them a payment based on the ‘quick and dirty’ tax prep that they offer online. I have done that just to see if I would owe anything so that is what I’ll try to do. The state of Arizona will want there piece of the pie as well but they are willing to wait until 15 April 2027.

While parked in that same parking lot I was able to go for breakfast at Taco Giro, H&R Block and Goodwill. So after making a donation I was back on the road with a stop for gas in Benson, groceries at Safeway in Benson and a stop at my vet to change Erik’s appointment for his annual shots.

Then when I got back to the Park I was able to pull into the regular space that I’ll have until I leave here in May. The space where have been staying had water and electric only and was a difficult back in. This regular space is a pull thru with full hook ups.
