123. Honored Guests at the Banquet
Nasruddin was invited to a banquet. He rushed off immediately, imagining the fine food he would eat there.
But when he arrived in his shabby clothes, they seated him far from the main table, with nothing but bread to eat.
So Nasruddin ran home, put on his best clothes, and returned to the banquet. This time they seated him at the main table which was loaded with delicious food.
Nasruddin then began rubbing the food all over his clothes.
“What are you doing?” shouted the host.
“I’m feeding my clothes,” Nasruddin replied, “as they are the honored guests, not me.”

I have not felt up to par all this week. Last night I had an elevated heart rate while sleeping which is my marker for a psoriasis flare to occur so I took some Ibuprofen this morning and will take another dose before going to bed tonight. I’m not convinced that there is a flare pending but I have been having a lot of psoriatic arthritis pains which has caused me to have restless sleep. I’ll see what the Ibuprofen does for me.
A few days ago I sent a Secure message to my ‘doctor’ at the VA Clinic and told her that I wanted to discuss herbal medicines when I see her in April. This was before the trigger of last night. I don’t want to be using Ibuprofen for the psoriatic arthritis long term and want an alternative with fewer side effects.
There was a forecast of rain to start around midnight last night and when I took Erik out then there was a very light sprinkle. I woke up around 3:30 and could hear rain on the roof, this was without my hearing aids, so it was raining harder. When I got up and took Erik out it was sprinkling but there was solid cloud cover and a forecast of rain during today, tonight and tomorrow. A lot of winter rains this year, we should have a very green desert this Spring.
