Missive #570

The final countdown…

A man back from the dead.
A madman on the loose.
One woman who will change everything.

He should be dead. That was what Olivia Killinger thought when her former fiance appeared at her door sixteen years after his “death.” Now Jacques Sauvage was asking for her help to bring down a deadly syndicate – which was led by her own father. Olivia had never stopped loving Jacques, but how could she trust the man? She knew he needed her help…but did he also want to reignite the passion that had once burned between them? — Book promo @ goodreads.com

I went to town here for the last time this summer and was going to have breakfast at Ella’s. They were closed again which makes the 4th or 5th time that I have planned on having breakfast there on a day when they claimed to be open and were not. If I’m back here next summer I will NOT plan on eating breakfast there, I think they are going out of business – certainly mine. I then got groceries at Jake’s. Just the same weekly routine.
I’ll be leaving here tomorrow for the winter camp but will take a couple days to get there. I’m still breaking in the new engine and don’t want to be on the Interstate doing less than 65 mph which I will not do during the two days drive. By the time I get to the winter camp I’ll have done the break in miles will get an oil change and then Desperado will be ready for some usual drives.

I’ll bet if feels pretty good to hear that new engine purr. You won’t have to do much climbing on your way to winter camp.

  2. A little bit of up hill to Silver City but it is almost all down hill from there. None of the few climbs are as steep as what she has done just getting back and forth from the Park to Reserve. Sounding very good as best as my poor hearing can hear it. HA
