11. NASRUDDIN REPORTS A STOLEN DONKEY...

I have 'scheduled' this posting for today while I'll be driving to my next camp. That is something that I have learned how to do, I think, since using WordPress for a year now. There was a stop along the way for breakfast at Denny's and gas at Pilot in Eloy, AZ. The route was mostly on the Interstate; I have done most of it avoiding the Interstate but not this time. A total of 271 miles: AZ82, AZ90, I-10, I8, William St, Old US80 & Fresno St.

Not much happening here. I went to town on Monday and got groceries and filled Desperado with gas and propane. Also went to my US Store to get my VA copay billing but it was not there. I was able to find how much I owed online which was a big improvement over past years. That was the good news, the bad news was when I went to pay.gov to make the payment I kept getting an error message for the telephone number that I entered. Went to the Park office and the woman on duty was able to get online and make the payment for me.

This is the second book in the Viking trilogy which I have enjoyed. I think Severin writes better historical fiction than the nonfiction travel books that he wrote early in his career. He has a couple more fiction series that I will read when I finish this one.
