162. The Turban of a Scholar

People who could not read would sometimes bring letters to Nasruddin so that he could read the letters to them.

One man had brought Nasruddin a letter to read, but the handwriting was terrible.

“This is the worst handwriting I have ever seen,” said Nasruddin. “I can’t read this letter.”

The man was indignant. “You wear the turban of a scholar, but you can’t even read a simple letter from my brother.”

Nasruddin pulled the turban off his head and threw it at the man. “Go ahead! Take the turban,” he said, “and see if you can do any better!”

Another shopping day yesterday with a Feta Omelet at the Sunrise Kitchen to start. This one was even better than the first one that got there. I’ll go back for another one next week. Then picked up groceries at Pepper’s and back to the park.

The only thing to note from yesterday was when I was trying to disconnect the fresh waster hose from Desperado the input connector came apart. I was able to use pliers to turn the ‘hose connector’ (I don’t know what else to call it) and get the hose off. When I got back tom the park it was daylight and I could see what I was confronted with I saw that the plastic wheel that had come off was pressed onto the metal ‘hose connector’. So I pressed it back on and then turned the wheel to connect the hose to the input line. Turned on the water and the connection leaked as it had before and I knew that the wheel was tight but thought it might need to be pushed onto the metal more. So, I took my little hammer and tapped it a few times, tried the water again and no leak.
If you can’t fix something with a hammer then what you have is an electrical problem. HA

A few showers last night as I was going to sleep. The new Weather Underground claims that there was no rain but I think we got ~.10″. The forecast is for clear until the 30th with possible thunderstorms and the same for my travel day on the 1st.

We defeated them [Iran] militarily, financially, and otherwise,… We could leave now, but we want to make sure it lasts for a long time.
President Trump

I guess this is the reason why the United States still has troops in Germany and Japan. We defeated them but just want to make sure it lasts.
