It was very dark with rain threatening clouds yesterday morning and I slept in until 6:30. Took one look at the dark sky and canceled our walk. We could have got it done and remained dry because the rain held of until noon but it was also a cold 46°F so this might have been the start of Fall. It showered off and on until early evening then was a light rain when I took Erik out at midnight then more light rain when we got up this morning. I don’t know how much rain we got but after ~10″ during this summer I finally had a roof leak. I think the think the position of Desperado is somewhat the reason, the prior rains did not cause a leak but the roof is now positioned for the water to accumulate at a low point and I get water on my bed.
Since I was taking the day off and I had not given the stove top a good cleaning today was the day to do it. I had put it off far too long and there was backed on ‘stuff’ that it took a lot of scouring to get clean. I need to remember this and certainly give it a good cleaning more often!
