I have been lucky. With no air conditioning the weather has been in my favor with rain off and on on Monday. Raining during the early hours and when I drove into Reserve and then more rain off and on during the afternoon. When I was getting ready to do an afternoon walk we got another shower so no walks at all on Monday.
The Monday garage visit did not accomplish much. The engine diagnostic device read that the engine had been misfiring so all the codes were cleared and I dove back to the Park and then to the garage again yesterday to get current codes. Even less progress on determining what the A/C solution might be. The garage didn’t have a ladder so that had to also wait until Tuesday when they had one.
Yesterday the weather continued to be cloudy and cool. The work at the garage took all day but I do have an A/C fan that is working and I think the compressor is also making is cooler than just the ambient temperature. Not sure about that, the garage mechanic was not certain that the compressor was working so it might be an on and off situation. Right now just a fan is all I need but when it gets hot I’ll need some cool air as well as the fan.
That did not take all day. Most of the day was spent diognocing and maybe fixing a cylinder misfire that I have had with Desperado for months. I’m back there again today and they will hook up the diognostic machine and see if there are engine codes again. It ran much better yesterday on the way back tom the park.
