I finally got a PDF file that although not perfect is ‘good enough’, that old Bulgarian saying is apt to be correct in this case. I made changes in my CSS styling for the blockquotes which fixed one of the problems, threw away the Content Page which fixed another one. Then what I had was a PDF file with no pictures if they were included in a FooGalley. I was ready to give up but the developer of Print My Blog said that after I generate the PDF file I needed to scroll to the bottom of the page in the previewer before clicking on the button to Save as PDF. That worked!
I have spent so much time on that project that I have let my reading and other things slide. I have given that project a rest for now and trying to get caught up on my reading. I also didn’t do the Will Rogers weekly article preparations at the end of last month and remember to do them this past week.
On Wednesday I went to Ella’s again and then to Jake’s. I picked up a couple grocery items that they had that I needed but I could have done without. They have whole milk yogurt that I have been avoiding but think I can eat with no psoriasis issues and they also have Silk non-dairy milk. I now know that I can eat for a month on what I order online plus picking up an item of two from Jake’s plus one shopping trip to the Safeway in Springerville. So that experiment has worked out well.
I had a frozen laptop for about 24 hours this last week. I woke it up from a Suspend state and got the Pop! operating system banner but could not open a browser. I couldn’t power off either. Spent a couple hours trying to find a solution online and finally sent a request for help to System 76. They responded the following day with the fix: hold down the power button for 10 seconds. If that had not worked they had some more esoteric solutions that I’m glad I was not required to try.
It is getting hotter here although the mornings are still very cool; in the mid 40s since 19 June. The high temperature on Wednesday was 90°F & 92°F yesterday . That is a lot better that the 101°F at my last two camps but the 10 day forecast is for mid to upper 90s to come.
