139. Walnuts and Watermelons

One afternoon, Nasruddin was resting in the shade of a walnut tree next to a watermelon patch.

“What a strange world this is!” he exclaimed. “Tiny walnuts are growing on this enormous tree, while the watermelons are lying there in the dirt, growing on those scrawny vines. If I were in charge, I’d arrange things in a much more logical way.”

Then a walnut happened to fall on Nasruddin’s head.

“Praise God, now I understand!” he exclaimed. “It is because of Divine Providence that I was hit on the head by this tiny walnut and not by an enormous watermelon.”

I said that I was having breakfast at Tony’s after getting my laundry done. Well I did stop there but the web page where I found their opening hours was wrong and they were closed. They open at 10:00 Tue-Thu and 8:00 Fri-Sat. Only the Fri & Sat are possible choices for me and that is not going to happen while I’m here this time.

Have been looking for a replacement for my System 76 laptop that is running Linux. Can not find anything that has the Linux ‘flavor’ (MX Linux) that I want as the OS on the replacement. I have found that the Lenovo Thinkpad x270, HP EliteBook 845 G8 & Dell 5420 all are good choices to run MX Linux and have settled on the Dell which is the most available and lowest priced. Having difficulty finding a vendor that I can choose the shipper or one that says they ship UPS or FedEx. I need one or the other for a delivery at my next camp. I don’t want to order and have shipped here with the chance of a delay in shipping causing all sorts of problems.
