You could substitute USA for UN while reading this book to help understand it better. The off Earth planets are just markers for the various Earth countries that the USA has under its hegemony or has invaded. Accused of a crime she did not commit, she flees Earth for the Freehold of Grainne where she struggles to adapt to the climate and culture of an ultra-libertarian planet. I have finally succeeded it getting a second method set up in the id.me Multi-factor Authentication (MFA). I was tgrying to use the Solokey along with the Yubikey not as a second method but as a second security key that I was hoping would work with my Samsung Galaxy A9+ tablet. The Yubikey does not. After three days of failure with that approach I started trying to set up the ID.me Authenticator a multi-factor authentication (MFA) app that generates a code that completes the id.me sign in a authorization. I failed to do the set up many times until yesterday afternoon when I finally Got-r-Done. I now have a way to use the Samsung tablet, the laptop that also works with the Yubikey and the laptop that does not work with the key (however, with a USB adapter it might work). The Authenticator app is installed on my 8″ tablet for which I need to provide a backup; that I’m looking into. Long story short, I now have a reasonably secure way to stay connected to VA, SS & IRS.
