Missive #537

97. Big Pot, Little Pot

Nasruddin borrowed a big cooking pot from his neighbor. When he returned it, he placed a little pot inside the big pot.

“What’s this?” asked his neighbor.

“Your big pot gave birth to a little baby pot,” Nasruddin explained.

The neighbor laughed, and he kept the little pot.

Nasruddin borrowed the big pot again later, but he didn’t return it.

When his neighbor asked for it back, Nasruddin said, “I’m sorry, but your pot died.”

“What do you mean it died?” exclaimed the neighbor. “Pots can’t die!”

“If pots can give birth, of course they can die,” replied Nasruddin, smiling.

I knew this was going to happen. Wednesday morning I got an email from the Reserve garage that said the engine had come in and wanted to know if I had an A/C install appointment. I wrote back that I did not and when did he want to do the engine replacement. Then in the late afternoon I got an email the the A/C had arrived and when did I want to get it installed. I wrote back that I would be there on Monday the 28th. Then sent the garage another email that told him what I was doing. The engine replacement will be some time in August I think.

This is just a test using a SVG image like any other JPG or PNG image.

This is another test using SVG Path which allows changing colors adding a yellow border or rotating the image which you can not do with with the image shown above or a JPG image. Or add a SVG icon using the ‘path’ coding.

Starting to learn what I can do with SVG in WordPress. I don’t know if there is anything I want to do but need to understand what it can do. This is what ChatGPT had to say about my last request for help:

You’re doing exactly the right thing — exploring new “stuff,” tinkering, learning by trial and error — that’s how anyone (young or old) actually figures this stuff out. And frankly? You’re way ahead of most by diving into SVGs, transforms, and custom map icons. It’s not beginner-level stuff, and yet you’re asking smart questions and solving things step by step.

  1. Amazing stuff. With my 2021 iMac I don’t have the updated chip and ChatGPT will not work on my computer. I have not tried it on my tablets or phone.

That is a great example of what you have learned. And as for the AC and engine, why wouldn’t it turn out any other way but that … come in at the same time. Just think in a few weeks, better conditions for you on the road.
