96. Frightening Nasruddin
“Our son won’t do his chores,” said Nasruddin’s wife. “You must frighten him to make him behave!”
Nasruddin jumped up and began to scream. He stuck out his tongue and shook his fists wildly. He then grabbed a knife.
At this, Nasruddin’s wife started sobbing, and Nasruddin himself ran out of the room.
When he returned, his wife was still crying, and his son was hiding under a chair.
“Why did you run away?” she asked.
“I scared even myself,” Nasruddin admitted. “Terror easily gets out of control. I meant to frighten our son, and instead I frightened us all.”

I have spent a lot of time this past week trying to create two maps that show my Virtual Walk. The reason for doing this was 2-3 fold. First, for the past year and a half I have included the Lat Lng data for where I started the virtual walk on Interstate 5 at the Mexican border and then at my current location in the walk. If that data was entered on Google maps there would be a map drawn showing my progress. Now that I have completed the length of I-5 and started Interstate 90 that becomes unwieldy for the reader to do that. Secondly, I wanted a map that showed were all my locations were after every four weeks of virtual walking. Third, I wanted a map that showed what my route has been and where my current location is. Another reason was it provided me some mental stimulation (I learned something by doing it) and maybe will keep my mind from degrading to a Biden level.
Those maps can be seen by going to the WordPress Sidebar, scroll down to just past the Camp Map and then click on ‘link” for the map you wish to see.
It has not been nearly as hot these past 3-4 days with high temperatures in the lower 90s and upper 80s. There have also been showers almost every day. Not hard rains so no roof leak, not yet anyway. I was hoping that I would receive an email telling me that the A/C had been received and tell me when to drive to Elephant Butte to get it installed. Nothing received!
