69. Nasruddin and the Apple Tree

As he was riding past an apple orchard, Nasruddin was seized by a desire for apples, so he led his donkey up to one of the trees.

Then, standing on the donkey’s back, he reached up and grabbed hold of a branch.

Just as he was about to pick an apple, though, the orchard’s owner came running up. This startled the donkey, who bolted and left Nasruddin dangling from the branch.

“Get down from there!” the man shouted. “I’m going to have you arrested for stealing my apples!”

“I’m no thief,” Nasruddin shouted back. “I just fell off my donkey.”

Not a lot happening here other than cold weather with a little snow. The snow amounted to about 1″ and came Wednesday afternoon and night with some very light flurries yesterday morning. But it has been cold with a low of 28°F on Wednesday, 20 yesterday, 26 this morning and 19 forecast for tomorrow. The daily high temperatures have also been much to low for the snowbirds; 42°F on Wednesday, 30 yesterday and forecast to be 48 today.

Yesterday morning I went to town expecting to see more snow in Bisbee than I had at the campground but was pleasantly surprised to find that there was not. Went to breakfast at the Bisbee Breakfast Club for the first time since being back here in October. They are a dollar or so more expensive than The Mornings Café in Warren and not a better breakfast. The reason for going there is on Thursday they are open and The Morning Café is not.

My being there yesterday might result in my picture showing up in a Phoenix newspaper. A fellow with a camera came up to me, while I was eating, and said that he was with a newspaper in Phoenix that was doing a story about the Café and he wanted permission to take my picture. I told him to go for it and continued to eat and read my eBook. When I looked up a minute or so later he was gone — strange.

The following quote is from a posting by Pepe Escobar on Sputnik International. It is somewhat a 2025 prediction focusing on world affairs which is Pepe’s main interest.

The Empire of Chaos is relentless. Lawfare, destabilizations, sanctions, kidnappings, color revolutions, false flags, annexations: 2025 will be the year of BRICS – plus BRICS partners – as choice targets under fire.
Inestimable Prof. Michael Hudson coined “chaos” as official US policy. That’s bipartisan – and it runs across all silos of the Deep State.
In the absence of long-term strategic vision, and amidst the progressive imperial expulsion from Eurasia, all that’s left for the Hegemon is to unleash chaos from West Asia to Europe and parts of Latin America – a concerted attempt to Divide and Rule BRICS and thwart their collective drive affirming sovereignty and the primacy of national interests.
