56. Spouses, Past and Present
Nasruddin’s wife died, and eventually he married again. The woman he married was also widowed.
One night as they were lying in bed, Nasruddin’s wife began to reminisce about her late husband. “He was so strong, and so handsome!” she said. Then she added, “Unlike some people I know.”
“My late wife,” said Nasruddin, “was so beautiful, and such a good cook.” Then he added, “Unlike some people I know.”
As they quarreled, the bed suddenly collapsed underneath them, throwing them both on the floor.
“I didn’t think our bed would be strong enough to hold four people,” Nasruddin observed.

The good News is my psoriasis flare has been a rather mild one. I think my promptly getting the ibuprofen treatment cycle started may have helped. Since last Sunday my lowest sleeping heart rate has been either 40 or 38 bpm which is a good sign. Surprisingly, on Tuesday I recorded a lowest heart rate for the day, when not sleeping, of 38 bpm. That is an even better sign. This morning my sleeping heart rate was 37 bpm; that is the second time I have seen it recorded that low.
The bad News is that Verizon continues to provide NO SERVICE during most of the day. There will be very short periods when I can get a usable 1-2 bar connection but it does not last long. I’m now doing most of my blog preparation while sitting in the Club House where I get a very good connection. That is certainly where I need to be when I get ready to publish.
